Since 1997, American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine has been training students in traditional Chinese Medicine. Financial aid available to those who qualify. Our Master's degree program in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine is approved for all chapters of the Veteran's education benefits by the Minnesota State Approving Agency.

Accreditation

Masters Degree Programs

The American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM), its Master of Oriental Medicine program (in English), and its Master of Acupuncture program (in English) are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).

The Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) granted continuing accreditation to the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) Master of Oriental Medicine (M.O.M.) program (in English), under applicable ACAOM standards, for seven years, effective 24 February 2018. ACAOM is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the specialized accreditation agency for institutions/programs preparing acupuncture and Oriental medicine practitioners. Doctoral Degree Program

The American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) post-professional doctorate in acupuncture and Oriental medicine (DAOM) program, approved to begin enrolling students, is not yet accredited or pre-accredited by ACAOM. Graduates of this program are not considered to have graduated from an ACAOM-accredited or pre-accredited program and may not rely on ACAOM accreditation or pre-accreditation for professional licensure or other purposes.
This program is eligible for ACAOM accreditation, and AAAOM is currently in the process of seeking ACAOM pre-accreditation/accreditation for the program. However, the Academy can provide no assurance that pre-accreditation or accreditation will be granted by ACAOM.
