  • Computer Science
    Computer, Information, and Technology

    We do far more than just introduce you to theory. Our comprehensive programs are taught by entrepreneurs who are in the thick of the industry. You'll connect with amazing engineering faculty from major industry players like NASA and Magic Leap. Cogswell offers you the unique chance to collaborate with other smart people on interdisciplinary, real-world projects—before you even graduate.

  • Game Design Engineering
    Computer, Information, and Technology

    Code is the lifeblood that fuels every gameplay experience, so buff your technical skills as you learn to design and program video games in the Game Design Engineering degree program. Modify existing game engines before moving on to designing your own, forming the systems that power gaming’s greatest experiences. This includes implanting animation, AI and computer graphics within an engine. You’ll develop a project plan that will get others excited about turning video game design concepts into fleshed-out games with characters, worlds and objectives. You’ll be able to take a role as game designer and/or engineer, on teams structured to mirror those in professional game development.

  • Digital Art & Animation
    Computer, Information, and Technology

    If your passion is for visual effects, 2D or 3D animation, or concept art for video games or blockbuster films, this is the program for you. You can experience what it's like being in the full animation and VFX pipeline in our Digital Art & Animation program. Our courses have been designed with input from industry connections so our students learn the skills studios are looking for. You'll bring vivid characters, worlds and creatures to life and work from start to finish on animation projects that are ready to hit the festival circuits. Gain the skills you need to kick off your career in this dynamic and growing industry.

  • Game Design Art
    Design, Arts, and Architecture

    Collaborate with the best Cogswell has to offer, as you team up with students from other concentrations to bring the creative side of game design and development to life. Choose the Game Art Concentration and learn how to coax out characters’ personalities through their movements and animations, discover what makes great video game levels so immersive, and create stunning environmental art for current-gen console games, mobile games and virtual worlds. Or go with Cogswell’s innovative Game Writing Concentration and join the elite ranks of writers and narrative designers working to push the boundaries of this bold new storytelling frontier. All these game design and development skills will be used to their fullest in a real studio.
